Make

  1. Heat oven to 200F / 93C (to keep waffles warm while you’re making eggs). Preheat waffle maker.

  2. Following your waffle maker instructions, pour batter into waffle maker (you may have to do this in batches depending on the size of your waffle maker). Bake waffles to your liking and transfer to oven to keep warm.

  3. While waffles are staying warm, heat up a griddle or non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add butter or oil into pan and then crack eggs into melted butter or heated oil. Fry until the edges are crisp and then flip. Cook until yolks are done to your liking. Fry in batches until done (you may need to add more butter or oil to the pan).

  4. Enjoy waffles with fruit on top and drizzled with maple syrup. Enjoy with eggs on the side. Season eggs with salt, pepper or any of your favorite egg condiments.

It was good but I agree with another poster that it was made lots better with sriracha. Also, we made it with buttermilk syrup (to try to use up the carton we'd bought) and that was super good. Just google a recipe - just takes buttermilk, butter, baking soda, vanilla, and sugar. Super easy and a great addition to this VERY hearty meal.

Kids ate up the waffles on their own :). My husband and I added sriracha and that really made it so much better :).

Used my own waffle receipt and added garlic powder and paprika to batter. Chicken was yummy. I would like a "skinny" or easy gravy receipt to go along next time.
