Everything Bagel Chicken Tenders
with broccoli / sweet potato wedges / creamy honey mustard

What could make crispy chicken tenders even better? Seasoning them with Everything Bagel Seasoning! With extra crunch and flavor from the seasoning blend and creamy honey mustard for dipping, this meal is sure to be a hit with everyone around the dinner table.



Sweet Potato Wedges:
  • Sweet potatoes - 1 1/2 lbs , wedges
  • Oil, cooking - 1 Tbsp
Everything Bagel Chicken Tenders:
  • Chicken tenderloins - 1 lb (sub boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced into strips)
  • Oil, cooking - 1 Tbsp + 1 Tbsp
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning - 1/2 cup
Creamy Honey Mustard Dressing:
  • Mustard, Dijon - 1/4 cup
  • Honey - 1/4 cup
  • Mayonnaise, paleo-friendly - 3 Tbsp
  • Vinegar, red or white wine - 1/2 tsp
Roasted Broccoli:
  • Broccoli - 1 lb , florets
  • Oil, olive - 1 Tbsp


  1. Sweet potatoes / Broccoli - (If prepping right before cooking, get oven heating first.) Prep as directed. Store separately. (Can be done up to 5 days ahead)

  2. Make honey mustard dressing - Whisk together mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and vinegar. (Can be done up to 5 days ahead)

  3. Marinate chicken - Combine chicken with 3 Tbsp / 45 mL of honey mustard dressing (this is for 4 servings; adjust if customizing; reserve the remaining dressing for dipping). Marinate for at least 20 minutes or up to two days. (Can be done up to 2 days ahead)

  1. Heat oven to 425F / 218C. Place one oven rack in the upper third and one in the lower third of the oven.

  2. Set out two sheet pans.

  3. Toss sweet potatoes with cooking oil (portion for sweet potatoes) and season with some salt. Spread out on a the first sheet pan.

  4. Transfer sweet potatoes to the oven and bake, shaking the pan a few times while they cook, until tender, ~30 minutes.

  5. On the second sheet pan toss broccoli with olive oil and some salt and pepper. Transfer broccoli to the oven and roast for 10 minutes to get it started cooking.

  6. When broccoli has been baking for 10 minutes, move it all to one side of the sheet pan. Drizzle the open side of the sheet pan with the first portion of cooking oil (for chicken tenders).

  7. Working with one chicken tender at a time, firmly press it into Everything Bagel Seasoning to coat on all sides. Add chicken tenders to the open side of the sheet pan. Drizzle them with the second portion of cooking oil (portion for chicken; or spray them with olive oil spray; this will help the breading to turn more golden brown and crisp).

  8. Return the pan with the broccoli and chicken tenders to the oven and continue baking until chicken is cooked through, 10 to 15 minutes.

  9. Serve chicken with broccoli and sweet potato wedges on the side. Serve with the remaining creamy honey mustard for dipping everything!
